Book Notes - Dawn Miller
I've tried to select magazines for you that are uplifting and fun. My mom signed me up for Highlights when I was a little girl and I've been hooked on magazines ever since. Although I enjoy reading and with a dissertation in progress I spend way too much time with my nose in scholarly books, I still enjoy a good magazine with a hot cup of coffee.  Happy reading!

Magazines for Women

Book Notes - Dawn Miller
Why these women's  magazines? I tried to select magazines that I like to read to relax, but that aren't beach gear (you know the giant fashion beauty magazine you haul to the beach while you are on vacation). O - The Oprah Magazine is a magazine I subscribe to. Family Circle is an old favorite of my mother's and its recipe section has bailed me out on more than one occasion. Real Simple offers a clean modern style that is refreshing in lives of clutter. InStyle is a well-written fashion and celebrity interview magazine, while Working Mother discusses the balance many of us are trying to make between the office and our homes. Today's Christian Woman is encouraging and more hip than you might think. Ms. is for the consciousness-raisers out there - I subscribed to Ms. several years ago. Grace Woman is like a breath of fresh air in the women's magazine market - showing fashion models that actually look like real women! What a concept! Happy reading.
